I have been a Mopar collector since my first car, which was a 1964 Plymouth Belvedere. From there, I graduated to a 1955 Dodge Coronet. She is currently parked in the garage, resting. She badly needs major restoration at this point. My goal is to have her running again by 2005.
My daily driver is the truck that you see here. I bought this truck 3 years ago. When I drove it off the lot (a used car lot in Burlington, Washington) it had 5,700 original miles on it. It had languished in a barn for many years, and when the owner passed away it was auctioned at an estate sale.

This truck has never been used to haul anything, as you can see by the condition of the bed in the picture below.

Currently, the truck has just over 21,000 miles. I know there are collectors out there who say that I should store the truck and drive it only on sunny days in 4th of July parades, but the extended time that it sat did not do this truck any favors. Before I could drive it, I had to replace the "square" tires, the rotten gas tank and fuel lines, and do a full brake job. I have also had to rebuild the remanufactured carburetor that was on the truck at the time I purchased it. Sadly, the original was turned in as a core--this is the only missing piece of the original truck.

Yes, I know it's orange--this too was done by the owner prior to me who also got rid of the carburetor. Hope I never meet him--it won't be pretty. P.S.--anyone have a green tagged Carter 1-barrel? E-mail me (link is below).

This year, our state is insisting on new license plates, so after August, I will no longer be sporting the original plates.

White steering wheels are hard to keep clean. The seat is the original upholstery. I've taken two trophies for this truck.
